Eddie Howe gives Crystal Palace a 'bodyswerve' and remains on course for Celtic

Eddie Howe remains on course to become Celtic 's next manager, and is not in the running to takeover at Crystal Palace from Roy Hodgson.

Howe was immediately installed as one of the frontrunners to takeover from Hodgson after the Premier League club announced earlier today they'd be parting ways with the 73-year-old at the end of the current season.

After his work over six seasons at Bournemouth, Howe is understandably one of the names being mentioned to possibly take over at Selhurst Park, but the Daily Record are reporting that he is not interested in the job.

Instead, Howe remains the red-hot favourite to succeed Neil Lennon at Celtic Park, after the Northern Irishman was dismissed on February 24.

However, whilst he's still expected to arrive in Glasgow soon, Howe's unveiling at Parkhead could still be several weeks away, with negotiations over his backroom team thought to be dragging on, with several members of his coaching team thought to be completing the season with Bournemouth.
