Celtic's second pre-season fixture of the 2024/25 campaign has been announced.
Indeed, Eddie Howe, widely linked with the Parkhead vacancy in 2021, will take his Newcastle United team north of the border on Saturday, July 19, as the sides compete for the first-ever 'adidas Trophy'.
United will bring a significant travelling support of 7,200 to Glasgow's east end.

"Travelling to Glasgow, to face Celtic, is a great opportunity to test ourselves as we gear up for Premier League and European football next season," said Howe [newcastleunited.com].
"We'll face a top team at an historic ground, with a big away crowd there to support us."
Brendan Rodgers is similarly looking forward to the clash: "I think it will be a great occasion for both sets of players and supporters, as well as being really important in our build-up to next year," he told celticfc.com.
"Eddie and his team, like ourselves, have enjoyed a great season and I know we will face a tough test from a top Premier League side.
"As Champions, we will aim to enjoy a good pre-season to get us ready for the challenges of next year at home and abroad, and this really exciting match will provide great preparation for us."
Newcastle last travelled to Glasgow in 2023, beating Rangers 2-1 at Ibrox in a friendly.
Celtic now have two games pencilled in for their upcoming pre-season, with Brendan Rodgers' men due to take on Cork City in Ireland on July 8.
Before looking ahead to next term, though, they have a treble to win, and three more league games to go against Hibernian, Aberdeen and St Mirren, before facing the Pittodrie outfit in the Scottish Cup final at the end of the month.
Forward Daizen Maeda, who was named PFA Scotland's Player of the Year over the weekend, is laser-focused on completing a domestic clean sweep: "We have the cup final, but we also have three league games to play, and it would be nice to show why we are the champions," he said.
"We will have to get the results there, finish the league strongly and then hopefully get the last title."
