Eddie Howe branded Celtic 'coward' as Simon Jordan lays into ex Hoops target

Simon Jordan has branded Eddie Howe a coward for turning down Celtic as he discussed Ange Postecoglou.

The former Crystal Palace owner can't believe that the ex-Bournemouth boss decided against replacing Neil Lennon at Celtic Park.

Postecoglou was announced on Thursday morning to end the 106 day search for a new boss and Jordan couldn't believe that Howe wasn't willing to join the club.

He is still without a job in England and hasn't had one since being relegated by Bournemouth in August last year but is being tipped as a candidate for the Everton job.

And Jordan told talkSPORT: "I think Eddie Howe should have ran up there and he is a coward for not doing it.

"I think he's a coward, I think it's a huge job."

And Howe reckons that Celtic should have gone for Sean Dyche, but admits that he doubts the Hoops could get the Burnley boss away from Premier League.

He added: "I think if Celtic could get Sean Dyche, they should have bitten his arm off at the shoulder.

"But I don't think they could get Sean Dyche, i don't think the economics of Scottish football would enable them to pay Sean Dyche's wages.

"I don't think Sean would run up to Celtic because I think he sees his future in the Premier League because it as a far bigger league than the Scottish Premiership."
