Eddie Hearn has issued an update amid all the talk that Anthony Joshua should step aside to allow Oleksandr Usyk to face Tyson Fury in a unification bout, stating AJ's only focus is the rematch.
Joshua lost his three heavyweight belts to Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September, shattering hopes of Fury and his fellow Brit facing off in a unification bout for their next fight.
The London 2012 Olympian quickly activated his rematch clause with Usyk but there have been growing calls for AJ to step aside in recent weeks.
That would allow Usyk and Fury to face-off in spring next year but Hearn has made it clear that it's not something that is a priority for AJ.
"Right now, there's a lot of talk on whether AJ will let Usyk and Fury fight for the undisputed while he prepares with a new trainer and then faces the winner," he told talkSPORT.
"AJ's focus is just to rematch Oleksandr Usyk at the moment. Until there is something that is put to me that maps out a really good path and strategy for Anthony, we're just set on the rematch.
"He's made it clear to me he doesn't want me to approach him unless I feel that it's an opportunity that is too good to discuss.
"Obviously you've got Dillian Whyte who is waiting now for this arbitration ruling that will see him called as the mandatory for Tyson Fury so those four right now are just in a bit of a holding circle in the sky waiting to land and I think that we're going to see Joshua vs Usyk and Whyte vs Fury.
"But anything could happen. Whatever way it goes, it's tremendous fights for the heavyweight division. Tyson will be back, of course he will, and AJ will be back in force. I think you're going to see all of those fights around springtime next year."
Fury is set to return to the ring next year following his trilogy bout with Deontay Wilder, with it widely expected he'll have his first UK fight since 2018.
