Eddie Hearn wants to move to book Katie Taylor fight at Croke Park

Katie Taylor has "three options" for a fight at Croke Park but a rematch with Amanda Serrano is the no.1 option.

This is according to Taylor's promoter Eddie Hearn who is hatching a two-fight plan for Serrano.

Taylor has never fought on home soil as a professional despite racking up 22 professional victories without defeat.

But Hearn is adamant that the Bray woman's next fight will be at the headquarters of the GAA in Dublin.

Who Taylor will face remains to be seen. The most likely option is a rematch with Serrano, who Taylor defeated in an epic battle at Madison Square Garden earlier this year.

But Hearn is plotting a potential warm-up for Serrano against Mexico City’s Erika Cruz, who Hearn manages, to be the undisputed featherweight champion.

The winner of that fight could then face lightweight queen Taylor at Croke Park.

“We’re in negotiations with Nakisa and MVP (Most Valuable Promotions),” Hearn confirmed to BoxingScene.com. "Obviously, our priority is to make the rematch with Katie Taylor.

"At the same time, we’d like to do a two-fight deal with them. There’s a massive opportunity for Serrano to fight Cruz and then Taylor in the big rematch.

"For Serrano to become undisputed at 126 and then fight Katie again for the undisputed at 135 at Croke Park in Dublin, it would make that rematch even bigger if you can imagine that."

Hearn added: “We need to move on Katie’s next fight.

“She has three options on Croke Park. We want to choose one within the next two weeks max. We want it to be Amanda Serrano.”
