Eddie Hearn hits back at Floyd Mayweather promoter's threat to "stomp him out"

Eddie Hearn has mocked Leonard Ellerbe by singing him a rendition of Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers after the promoter's threat to "stomp him out" of boxing.

Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, recently hit out at Hearn by claiming he " doesn't know what the f*** he is doing ". The American promoter thinks Hearn has "no knowledge" of the US market and he wants to be bigger than his fighters.

Hearn doesn't understand where Ellerbe's hatred towards him has stemmed from and thinks the promoter needs "cheering up". In an attempt to do this, Hearn took aim at Gervonta Davis' decision to leave Mayweather Promotions and sung him a rendition of Ain't No Sunshine.

"I said to the one of the guys, I'll maybe sing a song or something like that," Hearn told iFL TV. "Ain't no sunshine when Tank's gone, only dark times for you. Ain't no sunshine when Tank's gone and Leonard Ellerbe, why you always talking about me.

What are your thoughts on the rivalry between Leonard Ellerbe and Eddie Hearn? Let us know in the comments section below

"Leonard keeps saying 'I don't wan't to talk about Eddie Hearn' then talks me about me the whole time. He wants to keep it professional but wants to 'stomp me out'.

"He talks about giving me a phone call once, someone passed me the phone once when I was in New York and he started telling me that 'he knows people in New York'. It seems like I goad Leonard with whatever I say and I don't mean to be rude, but I think he just needs cheering up."

Ellerbe had previously claimed that Hearn blew his entire $1billion budget with DAZN, something Hearn has laughed off. A fight between the two promoters has even been proposed, with Hearn claiming that he is 100 times bigger than Ellerbe in the sport.

"I have absolutely no idea why he doesn't [like me]," Hearn continued. "It's just because I've been sarcastic with him for years. If he wants to phone me up and tell me, no problem. All I see is them giving interviews and liking tweets all the time, like kids.

"It's me against the world over there but I wouldn't want it any other way. Nobody wants me in there, but I'm not going anywhere. You think I'm going to let that guy badmouth me and try force me out by saying I'm a clown? Not being funny, there's a lot of clowns in boxing, but do [I] look like a clown? No."
