You may think I'm crazy, but hear me out.
There will never be a better time to trade Kareem Hunt. Or Todd Gurley. Or Odell Beckham Jr. Or even Chris Thompson.
Am I saying deal one of your best players for a bag of beans? No.
I'm saying if you have depth at a position and need to improve other places, you can maximize your profits if you strike now.
Hunt has 401 rushing yards in three games, which is the second most ever through three games by a rookie since 1950. When you throw in his 137 receiving yards, his 528 total yards is the second most anyone has gained in their first three NFL games. Plus, he's averaging two touchdowns per game.
I'm not moving him unless someone is willing to make me a "Godfather" deal, something I can't refuse, but you can at least dangle him out there to gauge the possibilities.
Gurley is also averaging two scores per game and is off to the best start of his career, but could a correction be just around the corner? He faces Dallas, Seattle, Jacksonville and Arizona the next four weeks. His value has peaked for this season.
Beckham is free of the injury report and coming off a two touchdown game, but he's playing in an offense that will struggle with consistency all season long because of a horrendous offensive line.
Thompson has been the waiver wire gift that keeps on giving. He's evolved from a PPR flex option to a RB2 with RB1 upside, but he's currently scoring at an unsustainable pace. There will be some regression so targeting someone like T.Y. Hilton or DeAndre Hopkins might be a smart move if you have depth at the running back position.
Here's my best bets for Week 4:
