Week 2 of the 2016 NFL season put one of my bedrock fantasy sports beliefs to the test.
Always play your studs.
I almost never waiver when it comes to this rule, but it was difficult watching Andrew Luck against the Broncos vaunted defense this weekend. Also, Aaron Rodgers _ superman himself _ struggled mightily against the Vikings, a squad just a hair shy of Denver's championship caliber defense if you ask me.
Heck, even Antonio Brown appeared mortal against a stingy Bengals secondary.
All three of these matchups had red flags attached. I'd expect 99 percent of all players to struggle, but I give certain players the benefit of doubt.
Last week, this strategy might have cost you a victory. Still, it's a bedrock belief for a reason. Players like Rodgers, Luck and Brown are usually matchup proof and pay dividends when you put your trust in them.
Which means I'm keeping the faith going forward.
