ESPN recently released a list of 27 players who were on rosters of playoff teams in at least 50 percent of its 10-team standard leagues.
I used it to put together what I'd consider the "perfect" lineup for this season. Here it is with the player's average draft position in parentheses:
QB _ Carson Wentz (ADP: 13th round)
RB _ Alvin Kamara (ADP: Undrafted)
RB _ Todd Gurley (ADP: 2nd round)
WR _ Devin Funchess (ADP: Undrafted)
WR _ Robby Anderson (ADP: Undrafted)
TE _ Travis Kelce (ADP: 5th round)
FLEX _ Dion Lewis (ADP: Undrafted)
D/ST _ Jaguars (ADP: 15th round)
K _ Greg Zuerlein (ADP: Undrafted)
Antonio Brown was the only player (of the 27) whose ADP was in the first round.
The lesson? The draft is important (and a lot of fun), but it is only the beginning. If you plan on playing one-and-done games in December, you better be active on the waiver wire and keep an open mind.
Here's my best bets for Week 14:
