Ed Woodward sent 'pay the money' demand amid fresh Erling Haaland to Manchester United claims

Manchester United are reportedly about to get their chance to pitch to sign Erling Haaland.

The Norway goal machine could leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer and every top club in Europe is vying for his signature.

It was revealed on Thursday that his father Alf-Inge Haaland, along with his agent Mino Raiola, had flown to Spain for talks with Barcelona and Real Madrid ahead of the summer window.

Fresh reports emerging from Spain today, however, suggest United and three other Premier League clubs will hold talks with Alf-Inge and Raiola in London today.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to bring Haaland to Old Trafford before he joined Dortmund in January of last year and the Red Devils are keen to strike what will be a much more costly deal in the next window.

Dortmund reportedly want €180million for Haaland - a fee which would equal what Paris Saint-Germain paid Monaco to sign Kylian Mbappe three years ago.

His goal record suggests he would be worth that figure, with Haaland boasting a goal-per-game record for club and country this season.

Haaland has scored 49 goals in 49 Bundesliga games since joining Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg last year, while he's also the fastest player in history to reach 20 Champions League goals having managed it in just 14 matches.

Reacting to reports that United will meet with Haaland's representatives, supporters made their feelings clear to Ed Woodward and the club's transfer brokers.

One fan believes United should go all out for Haaland, saying: "If they really want him pay the money. Same thing happened with Ronaldinho. Arguing over a couple of million and he went to Barca."

"I feel like United getting Haaland just so City don’t get him is pretty important," explained another supporter.

Another added: "Riola is just seeing who can offer himself and the players the most money. It won't be United, it's more likely to be City or Chelsea."
