Manchester United have no intention of enticing Paul Pogba to stay at the club with a lucrative contract, it's been claimed.
The France international made his desire to leave Old Trafford known last summer, revealing he was ready to undertake a new challenge.
A move away from the Theatre of Dream, however, never materialised for the 27-year-old, despite interest from Real Madrid and his former employers Juventus.
United prevented the possibility of Pogba leaving on a free transfer in the summer by exercising a clause in his contract to extend his stay at the club by a further year.

That's according to ESPN , who claim the Red Devils are refusing to be held to ransom by the World Cup winner or his agent - Mino Raiola - and will only offer him a "reasonable" pay increase.

In light of the staggering £400,000-a-week United paid the Chilean before his permanent move to Inter Milan in August, Woodward and Solskjaer are adamant they will not break the club's wage structure for any player.
Pogba is currently taking home a staggering £270,000-a-week, a fee which will increase should he accept a new deal at the Theatre of Dreams.
