Ed Woodward's furious reaction spotted 10 minutes into Man Utd draw with Crystal Palace

Ed Woodward's frustration was there for everyone to see as Manchester United failed to beat Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils had the opportunity to close the gap on title rivals Manchester City to 12 points ahead of this weekend's derby between the two sides, but couldn't find a breakthrough against Palace.

United executive vice-chairman Woodward was watching the action from the stands of Selhurst Park and was as frustrated by what he was witnessing as the thousands of Red Devils supporters back home.

And Woodward didn't just show his frustration late on in the fixture as United tried in vain to find an all-important opening goal.

Instead, Woodward was seen reacting angrily to United's poor performance just 10 minutes into the fixture.

According to the MEN, Woodward showed his anger at United's poor distribution early on in the match with Palace and reacted by slapping the vacant chair in front of him.

Woodward was joined in the stand by United's transfer negotiator Matt Judge.

Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted his side needs to find their "spark" again after drawing a fourth time in their last six fixtures.

"Of course you are not happy if you don't create enough chances to win a game," Solskjaer said.

"It's been a week with no goals and sometimes three games without scoring sounds like a lot. It's a bit of a worry but because we play every few days I know the boys are giving everything.

"Attitude and approach I'm very happy with but the quality we need to get back to what we know we can do.

"The tempo was missing, once in a while, it happens. It wasn't one of our best nights, that's for sure.

"Roy Hodgson always sets his teams up to be really hard to play against and it just showed again tonight. We just have to find a spark again, the quality again and try and win the games."
