Ed Sheeran has surprised a care home resident described as his "number one fan" with a very special and video message for her 60th birthday.
Julie Maskelyne has lived at Trowbridge Oaks Bupa Care home, which specialises in caring for those suffering from Parkinson’s and Huntington’s Disease, for four years.
As she celebrated her 60th birthday with cake, strawberries and a glass of bubbly, a familiar face popped up on the TV in the care home living room.
Julie - who is a huge fan of Ed - laughed with joy when the pop star began wishing her a happy birthday and thanking her for being his ‘number one fan’.

The surprise was arranged by Helen and Elissa, who both work for Bupa. They sent a message to the pop-star’s fan club and eagerly awaited a response.
Helen Meaden, Activities Coordinator at the Wiltshire home commented: “Julie is such a big personality at the home, so we wanted to do something special for her 60th birthday.
“We sent a message to Ed Sheeran ’s fan club asking him to send a personalised video. We knew it was a long shot as he’s such a huge popstar, so you can imagine our faces when he responded with a video three weeks later.
“We couldn’t believe his generosity; we want to say a huge thank you. It absolutely made Julie’s day; she hasn’t stopped talking about it since.”

It's not the first time kind-hearted Ed has surprised fans with a special video.
Back in 2015 the superstar singer - who is the world's biggest selling artist - made one lucky fan's dream come true when he joined her for a surprise duet.
The star was touring Canada and shopping at the mall when he heard 13-year-old Sydney Bourbeau singing Thinking Out Loud for a school fundraiser.
Being the all-round nice guy that he is, Ed decided to join the girl on stage to turn her solo performance into an impromptu duet.
Speaking afterwards, Sydney admitted she wasn't sure how to react when she noticed her hero by her side.
She said: "I was like, should I stop? I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him.
"This is, like, the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I was so happy that he did that, it was incredible.”

Ed - who recently welcomed a secret second child wife wife Cherry Seaborn - also surprised seven-year-old meningitis survivor Harmonie-Rose Allen.
Little Harmonie-Rose won the Mirror Pride of Britain award for Child Courage and was presented with a cake by Ed, who also joined her on the mic for a bit of karaoke.
There were tears as quadruple amputee Harmonie-Rose gasped in surprise when the superstar appeared with a huge pink unicorn cake at an earlier party for her in London.
He told his speechless superfan – who has raised more than £100,000 for charity doing things doctors said she’d never do – that she was “incredibly special and we want to show you how amazing we think you are”.
Then it was harmonies with Harmonie as they sat together and sang two of her favourite Ed hits – Shivers and Perfect.
The stunned little hero – who lost her legs and arms to meningitis as a baby – said: “I can’t really believe it.
"When he came out, I was thinking, ‘Is this really him?’ He was really kind and I just loved him.”
