Ed Sheeran reveals he's filming tell-all documentary which delves into his life

Ed Sheeran has revealed he will be filming a tell-all documentary, which will lift the lid on his life as a famous musician.

The Shape of You hitmaker, 31, burst onto the music scene more than a decade ago and has since secured five number one albums and 10 number one singles.

Ed, a seven-time Brit Award winner, said his major new project will explore all aspects of his life as he continues on his sell-out Mathematics tour.

The singer-songwriter began his tour in Dublin back in April, but won't be finishing it until 2026.

"We are shooting a documentary at the minute about my life and there was a big conversation about what we include.

"As it is honest . . . there is no point in putting something in if there is something detrimental to my life.

"It is a very fine line, it is why I live in Suffolk and not in LA. My life as a celebrity is turned on when I am in New York, but at home I am a friend, a dad, a husband, a son. You can’t bring celebrity baggage to home," Ed said during an interview with The Sun.

Talking about his tour and upcoming album Subtract, the singer-songwriter said he is in "the most creative part of my life".

Ed also said he is no longer under pressure to make every album a "gargantuan pop machine".

The chart topping musician recently hinted the date when he will finally call it quits and hang up his guitar, as he shared his plans to "match" Coldplay.

Ed said he wants to emulate the band's success and bow out at the top of his game after a 20-year-career.

The Sun reports him saying at a recent conference: "My next milestone is . . . Coldplay have done 20 years, so I would love to get to 20 years in my career.

"I feel like that’s an achievable milestone. But it’s still quite scary because it’s a long way away.

"I’m very young in my career compared to someone like U2 or Coldplay, but U2 and Coldplay are two acts I look at avidly."

He went on to praise both U2 and Coldplay for their glittering careers which now give them the ability to perform sold out arena tours filled with hits.
