Ed Sheeran has perfect response to comments he was 'underdressed' for Beyoncé duet

Ed Sheeran has posted a hilarious response to critics who accused him of bing too dressed-down for his duet with Beyoncé.

The Shape Of You singer divided the Internet with his black t-shirt and jeans which he paired with trainers to sing with Beyonce who was dressed in a massive pink gown with ruffles.

Sheeran, 27, shared an article on his Instagram stories next to a picture of the t-shirt he had worn with the caption: “Swipe up to ‘get the look’ #dresstoimpress.”

The Sheeran-Beyoncé Perfect duet sparked a fierce social media debate after Sheeran debuted his dressed-down look, in contrast to the extravagant Lemonade singer.

One user wrote: “Ed Sheeran is a 27-year-old man the fact we’ve enabled him to feel it’s ok to dress like this at all, let alone next to Beyoncé really boils my p***.”

But many fans pointed out that Sheeran was dressed how he usually does for his gigs, with many noting it is his trade casual look.

Others also claimed the picture “perfectly captured what we expect from men and women at the top of their game”.

Sheeran himself keeps out of the way of Twitter, and recently told The Sun that he hates the fact “one comment can ruin a day”.

In an interview last year, the star said: “I’ve actually come off Twitter completely. I can’t read it. I go on it and there’s nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter’s a platform for that.

“One comment ruins your day. But that’s why I’ve come off it.”
