Ed Sheeran and David Beckham are the ‘unlikely duo’ Twitter loved to see at England game

While winning the Euro 2020 match against Germany has England buzzing, a secondary match highlight was the sighting of an unlikely duo.

David Beckham and Ed Sheeran were spotted seated next to each other at this year’s most anticipated game and Twitter went into a frenzy.

In true Beckham style, he was seen wearing a dapper 3-piece grey suit, while Sheeran played it casual in a white t-shirt that showed his colourful sleeve of tattoos. The duo were spotted taking a selfie in the stands.

The former England player and global pop superstar weren’t alone. Sheeran was joined by his wife, Cheryl Seaborn, while Beckham was joined by his 18-year-old son, Romeo. That’s not all, just a few rows in front sat Prince William, Princess Kate, and son, Prince George.

People took to Twitter to share their appreciation of the two.

One pointed out that the cameraman may have also been a fan: “I swear the camera operators thought David Beckham was manager and Ed Sheeran was the assistant manager always filming them”

England dominated Germany wasn’t enough for this Twitter user, who said, “Highlight of the match so far. David Beckham and Ed Sheeran sitting together.”

One joked, “My dad thought Ed Sheeran was David Beckham’s son” - now, that would be an unlikely pairing.

Someone branded the pair ‘amazing’, “ED SHEERAN NEXT TO DAVID BECKHAM AHAHAHA IVE NEVER SEEN SOMETHING SO AMAZING #ENGGER#EURO2020“

Another added, “David Beckham and Ed Sheeran isnt a duo you’d see everyday”
