ED raids film producer Parag Sanghvi's properties in Mumbai

On Friday, the Directorate of Enforcement conducted a raid at Bollywood film producer Parag Sanghvi’s Mumbai properties, including his office and club in a money laundering case.

Currently, the search parties are present at both locations owned by the filmmaker. Confirming the news, ANI tweeted, "Mumbai | Enforcement Directorate raids are underway at the properties and offices of producer Parag Sanghavi in connection with a bank default case."

Parag Sanghvi has been in the entertainment industry for more than 15 years as a film producer, financer and distributor. Some of his best works include ‘Ab Tak Chappan’ 1 & 2, ‘Vaastu Shastra’, ‘Darna Mana Hai’, ‘Darna Zaroori Hai’, ‘Golmaal-Fun Unlimited’, ‘Ek Hasina Thi’, ‘Naach’ and many more.

Under the banner of his own production venture, Sanghvi has backed blockbusters like ‘Sarkar’, ‘Sarkar 3’,’ The Attacks of 26/11’ and the latest 2017 Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Chef’.

Last year, Parag Sanghvi hit headlines for collaborating with Eros International Group for two big-budget Bollywood movies starting in 2020. Reportedly, Parag had joined hands with filmmakers like Ram Gopal Varma and Prakash Jha for two upcoming big-budget films. However, the cast list of the projects is still under wraps with no latest update from the production houses.
