HYDERABAD: In continuation with its ongoing investigation into the drugs case, the Enforcement Directorate on Monday grilled actor Navdeep and a former general manager of ‘F’ Club.
Both of them appeared before the ED after receiving summons in connection with the case. The actor was seen covering his face with a double mask and wore a cap as he entered the ED office here.
Sources said the ED grilled Navdeep on F Club management and the mpney laundering charges against it. The club was shut down following a series of allegations in the narcotic drugs and money laundering scandal in 2017. The club was once owned by Navdeep.
The excise enforcement’s special investigation team (SIT) questioned Navdeep four years ago in connection with the case but did not proceed against him, citing lack of evidence.
So far, the ED has questioned film director Puri Jagannadh and actors Ravi Teja, Rana Daggubati, Charmee Kaur, Rakul Preet Singh and Nandu since August 31.
Sources in the ED said that a majority of the actors would either be made witnesses or let off as the investigation has not yielded any incriminating evidence against them so far.
