Ecuadorian farm owner is pushing back against US claims it’s a drug camp

  • A site in Ecuador, bombed with US military assistance and initially described as a drug camp, has been identified by The New York Times as a humble dairy farm.
  • Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell announced on March 6 that the US had executed targeted action against 'narco-terrorism networks' in partnership with Ecuadorian security forces.
  • Farm employees reported being interrogated, beaten, and subjected to electrical shocks by Ecuadorian service members before the bombing, which destroyed structures on the property.
  • The 32-year-old farm owner expressed outrage, denying any illegal activity and stating his 350-acre property was a legitimate dairy and cattle farm.
  • The Alliance for Human Rights has filed a complaint with the United Nations and the Ecuadorian government, seeking justice for the alleged wrongful bombing and lack of official verification.
