An airport in Ecuador offering an outdoor terrace and private wine cellar has been voted the best in the world.
The Sala VIP Internacional lounge at Quito International Airport won the Global Airport Lounge of the Year Awards, which based on the ratings of 52,000 Priority Pass members from across the the world.
Priority Pass provides frequent travellers access to over 1,200 lounges and airport experiences in more than 500 cities across 143 countries.

The rating systems are based on staff service, comfort, refreshments and business facilities.
Operated by Corporacion Quiport, the Sala VIP Internacional offers an outdoor terrace with panoramic views of Ecuador's capital city.
The lounge, which has been recently expanded, is fitted with locally sourced furnishings that provide a luxurious and cultural feel.
The lounge menu is designed by renowned local chef Andrés Miño and includes international and Ecuadorian cuisine.

Airplane passengers can also enjoy a variety of wine from its private cellar, while dozing off in front of Quito's beautiful sunsets.
The 24-hour lounge features private working spaces, dedicated sleeping areas, a massage room and shower rooms for the guests.
