'Ecstatic' - Nottingham Forest fans are loving latest transfer rumour

New Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton is said to be targeting his first signing.

The Reds have been linked with a move for Fulham's Anthony Knockaert, who Hughton worked with at Brighton and Hove Albion.

According to The Athletic, Hughton wants to bring in Knockaert on loan as he looks to put his stamp on the squad he has taken over from Sabri Lamouchi.

And Forest fans have taken to social media to have their say on the latest transfer rumour.

Here's what they have had to say.

The Reds have brought in 13 additions so far this summer, and have until October 16 to complete any further domestic deals.

Knockaert was part of the Brighton team which Hughton guided to the Premier League, and has three promotions on his CV.

He made the move to Craven Cottage this summer, having helped Fulham reach the top-flight during a loan spell last season.

He has yet to feature in the league this term, however.

His three appearances so far have all come in the Carabao Cup.

Hughton was appointed Forest boss on Tuesday night, half an hour after Lamouchi's dismissal was announced.

His first game in charge will be against Blackburn Rovers a week on Saturday.
