OK, the fuss over the interest rate movement is over for a few weeks although the Sunday Times yesterday got a piece in; time, probably, to focus on other matters. The Guardian has a piece predicting falling oil prices to cheer anyone whose business depends on petrol, while people in manufacturing have less to shout about. Overall, in economic terms, it's looking quiet as yesterday's Observer pointed to a quiet High Street and breaking news from The Daily Telegraph suggests falling business confidence.
The Times has its eye on the possible collapse of the Euro , which would be a shame if you were taking the Sunday paper at its word and setting up in Italy. The Independent warns of postage prices increasing (although not everybody agrees) and The Daily Telegraph has warnings for people taking job seekers' CVs at their word.
Industry-specific stuff includes a report in the Mail on Sunday that Dixons is phasing out film cameras because of the rise of digital, which is worth bearing in mind if you're in electronics.
