Economic Data Scheduled For Wednesday

  • The MBA's index of mortgage application activity for the latest week is scheduled for release at 7:00 a.m. ET.
  • Gross Domestic Product report for the third quarter will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. US GDP is expected to grow 2.1% in the third quarter.
  • The Chicago Fed National Activity Index for November is scheduled for release at 8:30 a.m. ET.
  • Data on corporate profits for the third quarter will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET.
  • The Conference Board’s consumer confidence index for December is scheduled for release at 10:00 a.m. ET. Consumer confidence fell back to a reading of 109.5 in November. Analysts, however, expect December's reading of 110.7.
  • Data on existing home sales for November will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. An annual rate of 6.510 million is expected for November’s existing home sales.
  • The Energy Information Administration’s weekly report on petroleum inventories in the U.S. is scheduled for release at 10:30 a.m. ET.
