Eco food packaging firm takes up expanded eight-year lease in revamped offices

Eco food packaging firm Vegware has taken up an eight-year pre-let on newly refurbished offices in central Edinburgh.

The company, which makes plant-based compostable packaging for caterers, is expanding into 8,000 sq ft at 41 Melville Street, where it already has office space.

Vegware established its headquarters in Edinburgh in 2006 and has operational bases in Sydney and Hong Kong, with distribution throughout Europe and the Middle East. The office refurbishment comprised 4,114 sq ft, over lower ground, ground and two upper floors, being project managed by Reid Mitchell and works undertaken by Watson and Lyall.

Peter I'Anson, Office Agency Partner at letting agent Ryden , said: “We are delighted to work with Vegware and advisors Lambert Smith Hampton on this letting. There still remains excellent demand for good quality refurbished office space within Edinburgh and Ryden have several similar projects currently ongoing at present.”

Lambert Smith Hampton acted on behalf of Vegware.
