ECHO Face Mask Survey: Tell us your thoughts on the new Government rules

Today facemasks became mandatory in shops and supermarkets across England.

New rules mean people must wear a face covering in shops, supermarkets and when collecting takeaway items.

People can be fined for not complying to these new rules, as the Government continues its efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Because coronavirus can predominantly be spread through droplets, coughs, sneezes and speaking, it has been recommended that covering your mouth and nose may help to reduce this.

People have been asked to use a mask, covering, bandana or a hand-made cloth to help shield their face.

There has been some confusion about when the masks should be worn, but the maximum fine for not wearing one will be £100 - reduced by half to £50 if paid within 14 days.

But we would like to know what you think about the new changes. Have you been wearing a mask already? Do you think the changes are the right thing to do?

Let us know in the survey below. If it doesn't load please click here.
