ECHO business awards winner now one of 'most respected names' in industry

The firm that won last year’s ECHO International Business Award has said the achievement helped it become one of the “most respected names” in its industry.

Waste incinerator experts Inciner8 won the accolade at last year’s Regional Business Awards (RBA) and said doing so has done them a wealth of good.

The RBA for 2020, in association with Liverpool Business School at Liverpool John Moores University and Manchester Airport Group, organised by the ECHO and our sister magazine the Business Post, are now open for entries.

Alex Billingsley, marketing manager at Southport-based Inciner8, said: “We are continuously proud of the heritage of excellence in this region, and honoured to be recognised as a contributor to this as winner of the International Business of the Year 2019.

“We’ve developed a range of market-leading incinerators that remain at the forefront of British manufacturing.

"Doing so has meant we have become one of the most respected names in global waste management solutions, with a diverse international client portfolio who trust us implicitly.”

The International Business Award is this year sponsored by Manchester Airport Group (MAG).

It recognises a business that has achieved the highest and most sustainable levels of international growth through exporting.

The judges are looking for businesses that have achieved export growth or an increase in revenues from overseas operations, as well as considers increases in market share through exporting, innovation in products, services of processes to enable exporting, international engagement and potential for future growth.

MAG’s CEO, Andrew Cowan, said: “Manchester Airport is proud to support the international aspirations of businesses across the North, by connecting them to the world’s most important markets.

“We have seen first-hand how direct global connectivity not only helps existing exporters, but plays a huge role in encouraging new businesses to start operating internationally for the first time.

“It is only right we celebrate the achievements of companies that help put Merseyside on the map as a result of their global trade.

“That is why we are pleased to support the International Business of the Year category and look forward to hearing the stories of all entrants this year.”

To enter the awards, visit the website www.regionalbusinessawards.co.uk to complete an entry form before the deadline on Friday April 3, 2020.

Finalists will be announced in May and winners revealed at our celebration dinner and awards ceremony on June 18, 2020.
