Ecclesiastical Insurance agrees major deal with US property data platform

Gloucestershire-headquartered insurance company Ecclesiastical has agreed a major deal with US property information and data firm CoreLogic.

The agreement will see Ecclesiastical Insurance Group (EIG) using CoreLogic’s digital platform to assist with property claims operations.

EIG, which is based at Gloucester Business Park, said the deal would "enhance" its existing claims capabilities by digitising processes.

The CoreLogic Claims Connect platform (formerly known under the brand Symbility) helps standardise claims processing on a single, cloud-based platform.

Michael Porter, senior leader international markets insurance at CoreLogic, said: “This agreement gives CoreLogic a tremendous opportunity to work with a dynamic, fast-growing business – which puts its customers front-and-centre of everything it does – and we are excited about bringing additional value and expertise to EIG and its customers through this important relationship.”

Jeremy Trott, claims director for EIC, added: “The CoreLogic team showed they understood our claims philosophy and Ecclesiastical’s wider company ethics – something which we place enormous value on.

"I’m looking forward to building a strong relationship with them and using their digital claims technology to help us to continue to fulfil our customer promises and enhance their claims experience.”

EIG moved into its new HQ in Gloucester in March. The new building, named Benefact House, took 18 months to complete.

The company said the spacious new office space had been designed to “support how the business works in the future and taking into account the UK Government’s guidance on social distancing.”

Ecclesiastical was previously based in Beaufort House on Brunswick Road, it’s home in Gloucester since the 1970s. The company was founded in 1887 to provide insurance for the Anglican Church, and now offers a range of commercial insurances, as well as home insurance, selling through brokers and directly.
