Ebony Thomas, 17, has been missing since Wednesday

Police have appealed for the public's help in tracing a teenage girl from Merthyr Tydfil who has been missing since Wednesday.

Ebony Thomas, 17, was last seen in Merthyr on August 4.

She is described as white, with long blonde hair partly dyed green tied in a pony tail.

Making an appeal on Twitter on Sunday night, South Wales Police asked anyone with information as to her whereabouts to get in touch via the force's online reporting page here.

People can also contact South Wales Police via their Twitter account, quoting reference *274375.

Anyone with information can also contact the police non-emergency number on 101.
