Ebon Moss-Bachrach Reveals Details About The Fantastic Four Cast

Marvel fantastic four

Ebon Moss-Bachrach recently shared some insights on the upcoming film adaptation of The Fantastic Four, which unveiled its star-studded cast earlier this month. The talented actor will be taking on the role of Ben Grimm/The Thing, alongside Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in Marvel's latest rendition of the iconic superhero team.

During a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! before the SAG Awards, Moss-Bachrach revealed that the cast has already formed a group chat to stay connected. He mentioned that Pedro Pascal initiated the group text, with everyone actively participating by sharing images, stickers, and gifs. Moss-Bachrach expressed his appreciation for the camaraderie within the cast, emphasizing the positive and engaging dynamic among the actors.

Discussing his portrayal of The Thing, Moss-Bachrach disclosed that his character will primarily involve performance capture technology, a departure from the traditional suit worn by Michael Chiklis in the 2005 Fantastic Four film. He explained that advancements in technology have made performance capture a more sophisticated and realistic option for bringing characters to life on screen.

While remaining tight-lipped about specific plot details, Moss-Bachrach confirmed that he has read the entire script for the film. When asked about the '60s-themed promotional art released on February 14, he hinted that the setting may indeed have a retro aesthetic, suggesting a potential time period for the storyline.

Reflecting on the moment he learned of his casting in The Fantastic Four, Moss-Bachrach recalled a memorable experience in New York City. He vividly recounted receiving the surprising news from his agent and being so taken aback that he found himself standing in front of Astor Wines on Fifth Avenue, where he impulsively purchased mezcal to celebrate the exciting opportunity.
