What happened in 2018?
Last year eBay offered price cuts to shoppers ahead of Black Friday, giving bargain-hunters plenty of time to pick up massive savings on coveted items.
For 2018 the online marketplace discounted thousands of items including branded home appliances from Hoover and Dyson, smart home devices from Google and gaming console bundles from Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox - and all were snapped up fast by keen shoppers as they went live.
The chain also featured savings across LEGO toys, Converse and Superdry fashion clothing and footwear and even price cuts on power tools.
Speaking about the deals last year, Rob Hattrell, UK VP of eBay, said: ‘‘98.4 million Brits are expected to visit our marketplace over the discounting weekend. In 2018 we’ve seen retail go through unprecedented change and, while shopping habits evolve, people still ultimately want quality products at great prices."
