Ebanie Bridges is back in boxing action tonight, taking on Maria Cecilia Roman in a world title fight on the undercard of Josh Warrington’s second clash against Kiko Martinez. Bridges took the boxing world by storm last summer as she wowed fans across the world when she appeared for her weigh-in in tiny underwear, whilst donning a Leeds United scarf.
Her social media account reveals she's a huge fan of the Whites, having turned up at Elland Road in this season's kit. Like Warrington, the female boxing sensation is preparing for her own shot at the boxing title, facing current champion Roman on Warrington's undercard tonight. Ebanie's last boxing appearance came in Leeds six month ago, when the Australian defeated Mailys Gangloff at Headingley on a points decision.
Warrington will main event the card, facing former foe Martinez for the IBF World featherweight title after the Spaniard defeated fellow brit Kid Galahad last year. Bridges comes up against the Argentine Roman, who boasts an impressive 16-5 record whilst the Australian Bridges has a 7-1 record.
Since then, Bridges has become well known in Leeds and a real fans' favourite - with thousands expected to cheer her on tonight.
