Ebanie Bridges called out for "killer" OnlyFans grudge fight by new rival

Ebanie Bridges has been called out for a "killer" world title fight by OnlyFans rival Avril Mathie.

Bridges is the reigning IBF bantamweight title which is the strap she defended with a successful win over Shannon O'Connell last time out. The Ausrtralian star suffered a brutal hand injury which required extensive treatment after the fight, which will leave her likely return date in the summer when she is able to box again.

Many have linked Bridges with former rival Shannon Courtenay with the pair going toe-to-toe in a brutal war back in 2021, which is expected to be a central option this year. However current potential challenger Mathie was optimistic that she can become the latest female fighter to conquer the 'Blonde Bomber'.

I think [Ebanie] is very intelligent and I take my hat off to her," Mathie told talkSPORT when discussing a potential fight down the line with Bridges. "That will be a killer fight, I’m really excited for it. She brings it and likes to come forward and never really takes a step backward, but I can also bang and come forward.

“So, I think there will be fireworks and it will be an exciting fight. I’m significantly taller than her, so for me it’s going to be about keeping her away from me, which will be a challenge because we’ve seen how she likes to get in. But, it’s one that I’m ready for, so as soon as her hands better, we can get it on.”

Mathie looked set to meet Bridges last year but her Australian counterpart was forced to first accept her first mandatory challenge against O'Connell. The contender was hopeful that she would be next in line to finally get her shot, but Bridges' hand injury appears to have once again delayed the encounter.

In the meantime, Mathie will need to progress beyond domestic prospect Ramla Ali in her next fight to set up a potential showdown with her fellow OnlyFans star. The Australian also boasts a large profile of her own with a subscriber base on the platform which is boosted by her 280,000 followers on Instagram.

Bridges was angered by criticism over her ring girl career alongside her OnlyFans account last time out and launched a vicious rant after being branded a 'skanky stripper" by previous rival O'Connell. She shouted: “You know what not bad for a skanky stripper. I like tough fights and I am a world champion. She came to fight but I am better, I am not usually disrespectful but she was so horrible.”

"I got the win so I am very satisfied. I hope Australia is proud and you know who is the queen of Australian boxing. This was the night I wanted. Winning a world title is easy and keeping it is the hard part. I haven’t fought for nine months. Thank you guys and to everyone has supported me. Team skanky stripper forever.”
