Eat Out to Help Out: The restaurants that have signed up to half price meals

A number of food chains have signed up the UK Government's 50 per cent discount scheme.

On Wednesday, chancellor Rishi Shunak announced his half price meals initiative in a bid to get the hospitality industry moving again.

The new "Eat Out to Help Out" scheme will slash the prices of meals on a variety of restaurants by 50 per cent in August and many well-known names such as Nandos have already signed up.

The scheme has a cap of £10 per head and you can use the deal as many times as you like on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday for the whole month of August.

There are a few rules to the scheme as to what qualifies for the discount and sadly takeaway, catering and booze aren't included in the deal.

You can, however, use the deal to pick up food from a restaurant and take it home with you and pubs, canteens and even trains can sign up.
