Eat Out To Help Out scheme begins today - these are major chains offering cut-price meals

Restaurants, pubs and cafes will be offering heavily-discounted meals during August in a bid to boost the hospitality sector following the Covid-19 lockdown.

Customers will be able to enjoy 50 per cent off eat-in meals ordered at participating outlets under the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

The offer, which is only available between Mondays and Wednesdays, will be capped at £10 per diner and does not apply to alcohol. More than 72,000 outlets are reported to have signed up to the scheme, that begins today (Monday).
