How long is the Eat Out to Help out scheme?

The government scheme started on August 3, allowing customers to get half-price deals when dining at registered restaurants.

It will run all the way through this month and will end on August 31, 2020.

What days is the discount applied on?

Participating establishments will apply the discount every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3 and 31 August, 2020.

It's worth checking your favourite restaurants for extra deals, however.

Supermarket Morrisons recently announced it will help customers save money by extending the deal throughout the week, with the store funding the discount Thursday to Sunday.

It means Morrisons customers can enjoy breakfasts and coffees from just 50p all week.

How does the Eat Out to Help Out scheme work?

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme is aimed at helping businesses who were closed due to the coronavirus crisis by encouraging customers to dine in, with establishments able to claim the money back from the government.

It started on August 3, and allows customers to get a 50 per cent discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in (up to a maximum of £10 discount per diner) at participating restaurants.

You do not need a voucher and you can use it at the same time as other offers and discounts.

There is also no minimum spend.

The discount will be automatically available to you at participating establishments.

While many big chains including Wetherspoons, Nando's, McDonald's and more are taking part, there's now an easier way to find out if your locals are too.
