EasyJet says its one-day course conquers flying phobias for 95% of people who complete it.
The airline is set to run the Fearless Flying course in Newcastle next month, to encourage anxious air travellers to rise above their concerns.
The one-day course on Saturday November 9 includes a ground session, with phobia expert Lawrence Leyton and a senior EasyJet pilot, where common flying myths quashed and participants are taught mind tools to overcome their fears.
Then, participants are offered an experience flight from Newcastle Airport, where they put the skills they've learnt to the test, with commentary from a pilot and Lawrence.
Phobia expert Lawrence said: "I’m excited to help those coming on our Newcastle course to overcome their fear. On the course I’ll teach participants a set of skills that they can use to train their mind to think differently about flying. We achieve fantastic results and it can be life-changing for many."
Easyjet says its aerophobia course is one of the cheapest in the country, at £199 per person. Spaces remain available.
