EasyJet runs first flight to green list destination from Liverpool John Lennon Airport

EasyJet has launched a new direct flight from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to a popular green list destination.

A flight from Liverpool to Malta took off on Sunday for the first time, with flights set to operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Sundays with fares starting from £26.99.

Customers in Liverpool can now enjoy a convenient direct connection to the golden sandy beaches, unique red sands, and rocky shores of Malta to enjoy the Maltese sunshine.

All easyJet customers are eligible for the airline's ‘Protection Promise’ which means that customers can book now for later this year with the confidence that if their plans change, so can their booking.

There are no restrictions on dates or destination, customers can transfer to any flights currently on sale up to the end of September 2022, and to any other destination on the airline’s network which spans 35 countries across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “We are delighted to have launched of our first flight from Liverpool to Green list destination Malta.

"This new route further strengthens our network from Liverpool and provides more connectivity for our customers whether they are reuniting with friends and loved ones or just want to getaway and enjoy a much-deserved holiday.

“We are proud to be the largest airline in Liverpool and remain committed to offering customers great value fares and more choice when they fly with us."

Paul Winfield, Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s director of aviation development said: "Just in time for the school holidays, this new easyJet service means that the region’s passengers can currently take advantage of Malta being on the ‘green list’ with the least travel restrictions, in addition to the Faster Easier Friendlier airport experience that flying from Liverpool brings.”
