Easyjet issues urgent message to anybody flying to Spain this summer

Last night, the Government confirmed that anybody travelling to Spain will now need to self-isolate for 14 days when they return.

The announcement has been made just 16 days after quarantine measures were dropped for people planning a Spanish holiday, and has come as a huge blow for many.

Now EasyJet has issued guidance to anybody with flights booked to Spain - and says that it will be continuing to operate, despite the new restrictions.

In a statement to passengers, the airline said: "We are disappointed that the Government has decided to impose a quarantine requirement for those travelling from the whole of Spain since the increased occurrence of coronavirus is regional rather than nationwide.

"We plan to operate our full schedule in the coming days."
