easyJet is running a fear of flying course to help people get over their phobia

Anyone who is scared of flying can now go on an easyJet-run course to help overcome it.

The airline say the one-day course conquers flying phobias for 95 per cent of people who complete it.

The Fearless Flying course will run at several places in the UK, including Belfast, Manchester, Bristol, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Luton and Gatwick, Chronicle Live report.

The course, with proven techniques to help any nervous flyer conquer their fears, is hosted by Lawrence Leyton from Channel 4’s TV Show Fear of Flying.

It will also feature one of easyJet's senior captains who will explain the principles of flight (including all those funny noises) and answer any questions that you may have.

Do you have any of these strange phobias?

Then, participants are offered an experience flight, where they put the skills they've learnt to the test, with commentary from a pilot and Lawrence.

Phobia expert Lawrence said: "On the course I’ll teach participants a set of skills that they can use to train their mind to think differently about flying. We achieve fantastic results and it can be life-changing for many."

The price varies depending on location, with the Newcastle one starting from £199.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: "The course is suitable for all levels of nervousness – from those who experience general anxiety to those who are first-time flyers."
