An easyJet flight to Tenerife was forced into an emergency landing after a British holidaymaker allegedly urinated in the aisle.
Police assistance was requested by the crew when the passenger showed “aggressive and disruptive” behaviour, according to a report.
The revolting incident happened on easyJet flight EZY6607, which landed at Tenerife South Airport from Birmingham on Wednesday afternoon.
Local newspaper Canarian Weekly said: “The crew alerted authorities mid-flight about a passenger causing significant disturbance, prompting them to request police presence and medical support upon landing.
“In response to the call, air traffic control gave priority to the aircraft’s approach to ensure a swifter arrival at Tenerife South.”
Citing sources, the Canarian Weekly said the passenger who urinated faced an “exemplary punishment”, but no details of the sanction had been confirmed.
The Standard has approached easyJet for comment.
