EasyJet: Full list of flights to resume from Belfast International in July and August

EasyJet is to launch more flights from Belfast International Airport from next week.

The airline announced on Thursday that it will operate 18 routes in July and 21 in August to destinations across the airline’s European network.

Earlier this month a small number of domestic flights began operating from the Belfast airport for the first time since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Holidaymakers here will be able to fly from Belfast International Airport from July 1 to a variety of city and beach destinations including Spanish favourites Alicante, Malaga, Barcelona and the Balearic Islands.

Graham Keddie, Managing Director, Belfast International Airport, said the decision was 'warmly welcomed'.

He said: “This is a welcome boost for the aviation industry and will help the local economy by reopening direct links to the rest of the UK, mainland Europe and beyond.

“We have been working closely with easyJet and other airlines along with the Public Health Agency to ensure the safety and well-being of all who travel through the airport and have all necessary measures in place.

"We ask that everyone travelling via Belfast International adheres to the safety policies in place, including wearing face coverings and observing social distancing.”

The airport revealed this month a host of new safety measures to protect staff and customers in the airport.

Among the new safety measures include screens to protect staff, a one way system and staff on hand to issue guidance.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, added:  "The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew remains our highest priority.

"This is why we have implemented a number of measures enhancing safety at each part of the journey from disinfecting the aircraft to requiring customers and crew to wear masks.

"These measures will remain in place for as long as is needed to ensure customers and crew are able to fly safely as the world continues to recover from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.”
