easyJet flight from Belfast to Tenerife forced to return after passenger needs urgent medical help

A flight from Belfast to Tenerife was diverted due to a passenger on board needing urgent medical assistance.

easyJet flight EZY6763 from Belfast International Airport to Tenerife South Airport was due to depart on Wednesday, October 6, at 8am, but was delayed by almost four hours.

The passenger requiring urgent medical attention was met by medical services on arrival in Belfast.

The flight then continued its onward journey to Tenerife at 11.55am, where it is due to arrive at 4.15pm.

An easyJet spokesperson said: “We can confirm that flight EZY6763 from Belfast to Tenerife on 6 October returned to Belfast due to a passenger on board requiring urgent medical assistance.

“The passenger was met by medical services on arrival in Belfast and the flight has since continued to Tenerife.

“The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is always our highest priority. We would like to thank passengers for their understanding."
