easyJet has announced that it will be cancelling a large number of flights due to England's second lockdown.

Restrictions come into force from Thursday 5th November, and will include a ban on international travel. The new rules are expected to last until the 2nd December.

A statement on the airline's website explained: "Following the lockdown restrictions put in place by the UK Government between Thursday 5th November and Wednesday 2nd December, we will not be able to operate many of our flights to and from the UK during this period.

"easyJet flights will continue as planned up to, and including, Thursday 5th November. However, between Friday 6th and Sunday 8th November, we will start to operate a reduced schedule, helping to repatriate customers who need to return home.

"After Sunday 8th November, our schedule will be reduced further with just a core schedule of domestic and limited international services operating."

  • Requesting a flight voucher for the full value of your booking (valid for 12 months from the date of issue)
  • Requesting a refund
