Easy way to get access Amazon Prime Day sale without paying £79 membership fee

Amazon Prime Day is finally here, with discounts on millions of products being rolled out across a 48-hour sales bonanza.

There are plenty of deals to be picked up, including discounts on Amazon Echo Dot devices, Shark vacuum cleaners and more.

The Mirror is currently running a live blog on all the best bargains as they drop.

But as the name suggests, you do need to be an Amazon Prime member to be able to purchase anything from the Prime Day sale.

Amazon Prime costs either £7.99 per month if you sign up to a monthly subscription, which works out at £95.88 over 12 months.

There is also a £79 annual package, which calculates at around £6.58 per month.

If you don’t want to fork out on a membership, there is a way to still take part in Prime Day without spending a penny on Prime.

Amazon offers a 30-day free trial on its Prime membership, meaning you can test it out while taking advantage of Prime Day offers.

The free trial is available to anyone who hasn’t had an Amazon Prime subscription in the last 12 months.

To start your free trial, you’ll need to sign up via the Amazon website - you'll then have full use of Prime for the next 30 days.

After the 30 days is up, you will start to be charged £7.99 per month for your subscription - so do remember to cancel it if you don't want to pay.

As well as giving you Prime Day deals, Amazon Prime offers free next-day or same-day delivery on certain products and access to Prime Video movies and TV shows.

Amazon Music is also included in Prime packages, which includes over two million songs.

This year, top brands expected to be included in the Prime Day sale are Samsung, Sony, Fitbit, Panasonic and Philips.

Many offers are only available while stocks last, so you'll need to be quick if you have your eye on something in particular.

You should still check prices elsewhere though, such as on comparison websites like CamelCamelCamel and Price Spy, to make sure you really are getting the best deal.

And ultimately, you're only really saving cash if you were planning on buying that product anyway.
