'Easy peasy!': Argentina fans react to facing England in World Cup semi-final

Argentina fans are in a confident mood ahead of facing England in Wednesday's World Cup semi-final.

A titanic clash between the Three Lions and the world champions is set for Atlanta, after the two giants saw off Norway and Switzerland, respectively, in their quarter-final ties.

Two goals from Jude Bellingham saw England come from behind to beat Norway. A few hours later, Argentina saw off a Switzerland side who play for 50 minutes with 10 men after Breel Embolo's two yellow cards.

Argentina fans were asked after the win in Kansas City for their thoughts on facing England.

One fan told BBC Sport: "England? Easy peasy, man!"

Another added: "We feel very confident."

Bellingham and Kane were repeatedly put forward as the two players who strike the most fears into opposition fans.

One fan said: "Bellingham and Kane are at a very high level."

But another said the South Americans have the trump card of an "Argentinian heart" to see them through to a second successive World Cup final.

England and Argentina will face off in Atlanta on Wednesday evening.

It is England’s second World Cup semi-final in their last three tournaments, having also reached back-to-back European Championship finals.

England have faced South American opposition five times at a World Cup, winning three.

The last time England played Argentina was in the 2002 World Cup, which saw a David Beckham penalty settle a nervy 1-0 win for the Three Lions.
