Easterhouse – Police search homes in manhunt after man and woman assaulted in street

Police are raiding homes in Easterhouse after a man and woman were seriously assaulted in the street this morning.

A manhunt has been launched after the victims were targeted in Tollcross Road at around 9:45am this morning and the suspect fled the scene.

The pair have been rushed to hospital.

Officers are raiding properties in Baldovan Crescent and Bartiebeith Street.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Officers are searching properties in Baldovan Crescent and Bartiebeith Street in Easterhouse after a man fled the scene of a serious assault in Tollcross Road at 9:45am this morning.

"A man and woman were taken to hospital. Enquiries are ongoing."
