Police have confirmed a 20-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of Kamil Charyszyan in Easterhouse has now been charged.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Saturday).
35-year-old Kamil was found dead after an altercation on Conisborough Road in the east end of Glasgow on the night of Sunday, March 21.
Police say their enquiries are continuing as they encourage anyone with information to come forward.
A statement released this morning confirmed: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 20-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of Kamil Charyszyan in Easterhouse, Glasgow, has now been charged.
"He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today, Saturday 3 April, 2021.
"Mr Charyszyan, aged 35, was found dead following an altercation on Conisborough Road, around 10.05pm on Sunday, 21 March, 2021."
Detective Chief Inspector Alan McAlpine, of the Major Investigation Team, commented: “We continue to support Kamil’s family and our thoughts are very much with them at this time.
“Our enquiries continue and I would like to thank the community for their assistance with our investigation so far.
“I would urge anyone who has not been in touch who has information, no matter how insignificant they might think it is, to contact us.”
