Hello, bank holiday weekend - and come on in, Easter heatwave.
The weather has dominated headlines this week with news that the hottest day of the year so far was coming just in time for the holiday weekend.
Today (Friday) will be the hottest day yet, with the Met Office predicting highs of 22 degrees in Glasgow by early afternoon - and while it might not last indefinitely, there is some time to enjoy the warm weather throughout the weekend.

The forecast reads: “Low cloud and mist across eastern parts soon clearing to leave another dry day with long sunny spells. Warm again. Maximum temperature 22C.”
Today’s forecast means that sunny Glasgow tops the likes of Lisbon (17C), Madrid (12C) and even the isle of Malta (18C) - and it’s not often that happens in April!
The big question on everyone’s lips is: will it last throughout the bank holiday weekend? Well, the Met Office shows early indications that the good weather will continue until at least Tuesday - although we might see more clouds.
Saturday and Sunday are sitting around 18C and cloudy, while Monday (still a holiday for some) shows clear skies, lots of sunshine and highs of 19C. We’ll take that!
Of course, the forecast can change at the drop of a hat, especially here in Glasgow - but it’s safe to say we’re in for a scorcher today, so enjoy it while it lasts.
