While most kids will associate Easter with eating plenty of chocolate and counting how many eggs they received, children from Liverpool tend to get some other treats too - all thanks to a tradition going back years.
Parents buying their children new clothes to be worn on Easter Sunday is a must among families, whether it be full outfits or a pair of new shoes.
Earlier this week, we took to the Liverpool ECHO Facebook page to ask our readers of the Easter traditions they had growing up and the suggestion of Easter dress was an answer hundreds offered.

While other traditions mentioned included making Easter bonnets and not eating meat on Good Friday, predominantly everyone spoke of getting new clothes.
Some remembered their parents always buying them a white or lemon coloured outfit while others had fond memories of "white buckie shoes".
