Easter Sunday weather: Glasgow in for overcast day with temperatures to drop overnight

It's been a beautiful few days here in Glasgow, with temperatures coming in around 12° and barely a cloud in the sky.

The blazing sunshine has seen hundreds flock to local parks and beauty spots to enjoy the unusually good weather and mark the end of another 'stay at home' lockdown.

But we're back to typical Scottish weather with a bang as Easter Sunday rolls around and families across the city prepare to celebrate.

The good news is, it's going to be a dry afternoon for anyone who has planned Easter egg hunts or an outdoor picnic. Temperatures will be sitting at around 9° until sunset which is a lot better than the snow previously predicted.

It's best to get out early, as the sun will be making an appearance this morning before going behind the clouds just in time for lunch.

The Met Office has predicted a cloudy, overcast day, changing to rain around 6pm.

Easter Monday is looking similar with clouds predicted but it, at least, by dry throughout the day.

It will be a lot cooler by tomorrow, with temperatures predicted to peak at just 4° around 1pm.

We don't want to speak too soon but we could be in for a bit of dull week, weather-wise but at least the sun was good while it lasted.
